I tried to make this all one post, but it was giving me trouble- you may need to turn up volume to hear coach give Hannah her trophy.

On the weekends, the girls get to play with their I touches.  They each found a cozy spot this afternoon.  I made a tent for Hannah in our guest bedroom.  If you look in the middle of the pic. you can see one of her geckos (sp?) hanging out on the inside of the tent.  Faith is in our shower, sitting on a table cloth.  I asked her to please not put the cloth back on the table, but in the wash when she was done:)

 The top 2 teams in Hannah's age division played final game today.  The FC Chaos (us) lost 2-0, but it was a great game.

Thanksgiving Play

Cheri and her girls wrote an incredible Thanksgiving play! Below is the "program".

Art Show

 The girls are taking Art/Music on Tuesdays this year w/some of our Homeschooling families.
The classes are in homes.  They had their first "Art Show" This former Art teacher just converted her garage into the classroom.  She does this class with a friend of hers.

 Here is the main Art teacher.  The girls have fun.  This semester they learned the basics- color, form, types of lines, dimension.

Veterans Day, Optimist Awards

Jake and several other orchestra students were asked to perform at a Veterans Day ceremony today. It was a beautiful day outside and a special ceremony. Many older veterans were on hand as the city broke ground on a new veterans clinic.

Later in the evening, Jake was honored with the Nimitz Orchestra Award from the Optimist Club, a local civic organization. I made Jake go up front for a photo before the ceremony started, then I "forced" him on stage to meet our county judge, who was one of the presenters.

Each of these students represented a different academic/sports/fine arts department. We so enjoy seeing Jake interact with his school friends...quite a lively bunch, and they are always so happy to see one another outside of school. Our local news anchor gave the keynote address. She is a former Miss Texas, and she continually referred to God throughout her speech. Just love when that happens!

My Sweet Sixteen Girl

 Anne Marie had loads of fun the Saturday evening after her birthday, celebrating with some of her "school" friends.  They ordered pizza and played games and watched a movie.

 I picked out this tea set (pottery-4 small cups and the cutest little tea pot!) at a specialty tea store for my sweet girl- Anmer enjoys hot tea on cold days, and she and I have been enjoying it very much!
