Camp Finale

On the last night the camp hosts a special banquet complete with decorations and a great meal, and the staff pairs boys with girls so the boys can escort the girls from the chapel to the dining hall. Jake ended up with two ladies! They do divide them into ages, but then draw names for the final match. The kids seem to love it.

With our girls from 6th and J, all dressed up for the banquet. Lane and I were with all the girls in the chapel as they waited for the boys to come pick them up.

I felt under-dressed - I did have a nice shirt, but wore jeans and tennis shoes!

As you can see in the background, we had gorgeous blue skies that last day.

Lane and I were cell group leaders. We had the same kids every night - each evening after worship, we discussed questions based on the lesson. We grew to love this group in such a short time and exchanged contact information. (By the way, feel free to not comment - I made so many camp posts already :)) Now I have a few days to catch up, and off to Colorado on Saturday!
