Colorado

Morning fishing
I got my carp today!!!
Jake tried and tried to pick Fred up (I named him during the LONG time it took me to reel him in), but he was flipping and flopping wildly, splashing us all with mud! I didn't want Fred to die, so I asked Lane and Jake to get the hook out and let him go. It' so hard to pick these guys up, and apparently if you damage the gills while trying to get them, they die fairly quickly. Fred lived!
Jake's second carp!!! He was able to get the hook out and pick him up by himself.
Boarding the train yesterday from Durango, headed to Silverton. It took 3 1/2 hours to go 45 miles one way. The scenery was amazing. On the way home a rock had fallen across the tracks, and we were stuck for about 30-45 minutes while the crew moved it. All in all we were on the train over seven hours (with a two-hour stop at Silverton).
We were in a back car, so I was able to get the train coming around a bend.

Williams Reservoir - Jo, this would make a wonderful camping spot!!!
