We spent 9 1/2 hours today on Mason's Eagle Project. The goal for today was to plant some shrubs, install the flagpole, and pour the concrete slab that surrounds the pole. The day could not have gone better! We were so thankful that everything went as planned!

The city is making us take all kinds of pictures to prove that we did the installation properly. This is to prove the we dug the hole for the pole right. It was 30 inches deep.

Mixing concrete

The pole sits in a PVC sleeve. The biggest stress was to make sure that the sleeve was perfectly level. I was quite worried about it, but it turned out perfectly! The pole is straight!!

We would pour concrete, check with a level, pour concrete, check with a level....

It was time to put the pole in while the concrete was not set so we could still make adjustments.

We are so proud of Mason! Lane's nephew, who served two tours in
Iraq and is in training to become a U.S. Marshal, was an Eagle Scout and he installed a flag pole at a city park as his final project! Love, the Andersons
Great pictures, you all...Please tell the whole family that I am really proud of everyone! Who is the other guy in the pic?
Way to go Mason!
love,
