We are so very proud of this boy!

I hardly have the words to describe the Flagpole Dedication that was held this morning. Cornerstone Christian Academy, the benefiting organization for Mason's Eagle Project, held their chapel out at their new flagpole. Tim and I found ourselves quite emotional during parts of the ceremony - it was so very special. We wish so badly that all of our family and close friends could have been there. It was a time that our family will always cherish and the memories will remind us of how very proud we are of the fabulous job Mason did on this project.
Mason started the dedication by leading the school in worship.

Justin Park, who attends the school and is also the Scout Troop's Chaplain's Aid, said a wonderful prayer thanking God for the country we live in and for our freedom to worship God in America.
Mason and Justin then raised the flag and led the school in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mason then talked to the kids about patriotism and the importance of serving God in America. He read the scripture, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord."

Chad St. Jean, the school principal, talked about all that was involved in Mason's project and thanked him for the donation and the all the work it entailed.

We were so glad that mom got to be here for this very special day!

On Monday, Mason and Chad will be going to the local Fox studio to be interviewed on live TV. The anchor's son attends CCA, and she agreed to do a spot on the flagpole dedication. They took pictures today that will be used during the interview.

I am sure I will have an opportunity to talk more about Mason and his Eagle rank after he finishes the process. He still has several steps to go, and it should all be completed by March or so. Many more things happened today that I need to post, but I could not go to bed without at least telling you about this great moment for Mason.
