Okay, the homeschool activities actually happened on Wed...but it had to do with Good Friday/Easter....we did a "Walk thru the Resurrection"- it was really neat...here, the kids are nailing a sin they wrote down on the cross (not sure why money paper was picked)- then they tear it off, and throw it away, symbolizing Jesus taking our sins away. There were 10 stations in all.

Hannah nailing her "sin " to the cross..

Here is about 1/2 of our Homeschool group...enjoying lunch together after the Easter Resurrection walk...(We are in the foyer of Vista Ridge - our north campus)

Now it's Friday...the girls and I had a great time at the Dallas Arboretum...we went b/c it was a special concert/activities day...

You know how the girls like getting their faces painted!

All ready for the outdoor children's concert...it is Eddie Coker...he sings fun, upbeat songs for kids...we have listened to his CD's from the library, and seen him once in person at a similar concert in the mall....

Before the concert....girls with Eddie Coker

At one point, Eddie came out to the audience and picked Faith to repeat part of a song..he said if she'd sing into the microphone, she'd get a free CD...so she did!

It was very laid back and kids were invited to stand near the front and dance along with his songs....

The Children's Medical Center had an activity where you could color on these big handkerchiefs, so that is what Faith has on her head....also at the Arboretum, they had different Fairy Tales scattered around, and there were life sized little houses to go along with the storybooks...

A pretty day, with beautiful scenery.....

Cher, I absolutely love the face-painting and the purplish lipstick. And, of course, the activities - very special! Aunt Julie
