Mason's Eagle COH Ceremony

Mason's Eagle Scout Court of Honor was this weekend, and it went really well. I am going to post a picture of each part of the ceremony so that Mom and Debbie can see what we did.

This table of Mason's awards was at the front of the Chapel.

You will see these pins in later pictures, but here is a close up for me to use to tell you what they are. The top left pin is the Eagle Mom pin that Mason pinned on my ribbon. My ribbon has a pin for each of the ranks he attained. The next one is the Eagle Dad pin. The bottom one is the Eagle Mentor pin. Mason chose to give that to Tim. The pin in the middle is Mason's Eagle Medal for his uniform, and the patch will be sown on his uniform. Ben Crosby, an Eagle Scout from Mason's troop was the MC.

The Color Guard presented the colors.

We said the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mark led the invocation. He did a great job, and we were so honored to have him participate.

Ben read the elements of the Scout Law, and several scouts read Scriptures that corresponded with the Law.

Chris Crosby, Troop 1316 Advancement Chair, told about Mason's rank achievements.

Bill Petticrew, the Scoutmaster, said some very nice things about Mason's role in the troop. He talked about Mason's leadership and his Christian character.

John Park said a few words about Mason. He talked a lot about his personal experiences with Mason since Mason's birth.John was quite funny!

Charlie Onstead talked next. He is a big fan of Mason, and he said some very nice things about him.

Robert Aaron, Troop 1316 ASM and an Eagle Scout himself, gave Mason the Eagle Charge.

Mason and the Eagles in attendance took the Eagle Oath.

I gave Mason his eagle medal.

He pinned the Eagle Mom pin on my ribbon.

Tim presented Mason with his certificate.

Mason gave Tim the Eagle dad pin and the Eagle Mentor pin.

They removed the regular neckerchief, and presented Mason with the Eagle neckerchief.

Mason then said a few words. The things he said about Tim were very touching. He also said some nice things about his "momma."He recognized how Mallory was so helpful (and neglected) during his Eagle Project. He said, "Welcome back to the family, Mallory." He presented her with a gift.

Uncle Ryno gave the benediction. He asked everyone to gather around Mason as he prayed. It was very touching and special.

The Colors were retired, and we all went to have dessert.

It was a very special time of honoring Mason.
