Day 2

There is not much to say about day 2. It took us 10 1/2 hours to get from Amarillo to Durango. We were expecting around 9 hours, but the wind in New Mexico slowed us down. We had to go a bit slower up the hills to not strain the engine as we went into the wind. Most of New Mexico looked like this.

This is a really nice KOA! We won't be around here much to enjoy it, but they have nightly movies, games, and places to eat. Below is a place where you can buy pancakes each morning.

This was quite impressive - an herb garden where you can get herbs to cook with. Mal and I got some cilantro for our Chicken Tortilla soup tonight.

We are headed to Mesa Verde National Park tomorrow!
