Canada Trip!!!!

Ryan did an EXCELLENT job of picking out a Bed and Breakfast!  It was wonderful!!!!

First, I uploaded these in order, and they got all jumbled up when they went from upload to blog post, BUT I am not going to let that ruin my excitement for our GREAT, GREAT trip!!!!!  So, (out of order)- this is one of the houses that L.M. Montgomery spent a lot of time in.  You see, Anne is a fictional character, but the books are based on the author's life experiences, so what we saw and walked through, was a lot of what inspired Lucy to write her books.  The houses of family she spent time with, and the places she wrote about.

We did a great job getting around...all small, quaint towns, 2 lane roads...we just laughed at the sign....(yes the car had the km in bigger numbers, so we knew how fast to go!)
This is funny, we were so excited to see a lighthouse..from the map....and this one is teeny tiny!  But, we learned, from a local resident, who walked across this street you see, from his house, to let us in (there are 75 residents in this town)- that this lighthouse works with 2 others and the sailors would line up these three in a certain way to tell them how to get around the sandbars.....

View from up in the lighthouse.......
It is hard to see, but there is a red fox, under the tree limbs...we counted 8 that we saw...they weren't afraid of us (tourists feed them, they're not supposed to)- we saw them driving through the Prince Edward National Park- which runs along the coastline....
We ended our last night there with a perfect stop at the coastline....it was just 15 min from our B & B
The weather was perfect...Deb and I had a blast using my camera's timer.....
Deb pointed this pose out....with our shadows as we take the picture!
I wanted to get in the water, so I could tell the girls I went in........
This should be at the end...it is a perfect way to describe our trip!
This is another perfect description of what we saw all over the place.....just green, beautiful scenery!!!
ugh..this goes at the top! This is one of our planes.....the day we arrived, it was drizzling.....
Yeah, we made it!!! This is the airport....the really small Charlottetown airport!
A view from the plane as we were arriving on Prince Edward Island.....
The first morning....the dining room was full...it was a small, sweet dining room, with seating for 12....the lady who owns the B & B was so sweet, so apologetic, of course, we didn't mind at all....she brought us tea, juice, and bowls of fruit to eat as we waited  (pic. using timer again!)
We sat at this table each morning, by a window....the place was so sweet, pretty, clean....

This is the Bed and Breakfast.....again, Ryan picked a really fun place, and the owners (husband and wife) were so very kind....the wife was born in this house! (they've since added on and updated of course!- the owners live across the road)
On one side of the property....
Cool trees on the walk from the author's home to one of her realitives - the first day was a little cool, then the next day was perfect!!!
Another great view from the author's growing up place......
Another part of the coastline....one beach/sandy area, then down a ways (we drove on a different day) were the red rock/cliffs you see earlier in the post.
We loved trying to take pics of ourselves just holding the camera out......
This was an area off the sandy beach area....

 Another red fox.....
Here we are, writing in each other's books.......
 This is our room.......so cute!!!
One morning, before we set out, we walked up the hill right in back of the B & B.....you can see it in the background.....
