Last Friday we joined our homeschool group to participate in the best field trip of the year- the Jones Orchard Cornfield Maze. This is a great time, it was perfect weather, and we made wonderful memories! Anne Marie and Andrew went with their friends, while I followed Thomas and some other boys, all of whom were great at reading the map of the maze!
As you can see above, it can be pretty tricky deciding which way to go, all the paths look exactly the same!
I love this- you are provided with cards, and each check point you find, has a different shaped hole punch- so creative! There is a tiny maze for little ones, with a different card to punch and clues to help them find out what happened to "Farmer Joe"! Thomas did the longer maze, and the tiny one.
Above- here is what the maze looks like, and the lady in the green shirt is Dayna Jones (her husband's family is the "Jones" in "Jones Orchard";)-she is praying for fun and safety during the field trip day, and there was a hay ride, too! I am co-teaching a Nutrition/Wellness class with Dayna for our homeschool co-op. Thank you, Dayna, for this fun-filled day!!!
Afterward, we drove less than 1/4 mile down the road, to the Jones Orchard produce stand, where they had a marvelous selection of their homegrown pumpkins & gourds to choose from- I love this!! Check out the different kinds of pumpkins, I forgot their names, but aren't they beautiful?!!! We chose a traditional orange one, a green one, and a tiny white one!
