Sweet Story

The girls wanted Tucker to sleep in their room and in order to make that happen, they had to give away MANY of their MANY MANY stuffed animals (some reluctantly!). We donated the stuffed animals to our church's Neighborhood Needs food/clothing distribution store. When parents go and pick up their food and clothes, any child that is with them gets a toy as they leave. Well, today the kids and I were up at church for the Christmas musical try-outs and a lady was there with her little girl. She wasn't old enough to be involved, but this family has attended our church for about a month now and truth be told, I think they were just bored today (someone said they were just sitting outside on the curb and then walked in the auditorium). The little girl was running around and I spotted "Timothy"- the stuffed lion that Mallory gave to the girls years ago and that they donated a couple of weeks ago! It so warmed our hearts to know that this well loved lion was now being loved by someone with very little to call her own! Thanks Mal for starting the cycle of giving!

What a special story and sweet picture. It is a bit of a tear jerker to see her loving on Timothy.
