Christmas Eve in Sugar Land

Christmas Eve always looks the same for us.  We were talking about the comfort there is in traditions, and how we really like our Christmas Eve routine.

We went to the Christmas Eve service at church.  Megan played the violin during the service and she did a great job!

The next stop is always Pappadeaux.  Mom and I have split the Cedar Plank Salmon on many a December 24th.

Mason and Mallory open their presents to each other on Christmas Eve.
Mason is quite fond of the yellow/red cards that Mal got him.  They are used in soccer games, but he seems to have found reasons to issue them here tonight.  His real present from her was something to hook up his guitars to Garage Band.  He is quite pumped about trying it out.  Wondering why Mal is holding a trash can?  Mason is supposed to empty the trash cans in the house twice a week.  Let's just say he is not too good at remembering to do it.  Mal is constantly nagging him about the one in her room being too full and needing to be emptied.  He decided that the problem was that her trash can was too small!  He thinks this will cut down on the constant reminders.  We'll see about that.  She is also holding the James Avery guitar charm he got for her bracelet.  They did not have a bass guitar, but the one they had was close enough.
We are now watching It's a Wonderful Life.  Good movie, but I always forget how long it is!

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
