Sunday

Yesterday was our annual Bring a Friend Day at church.  We have pictures of Mason playing guitar at second service because a member was taking pictures of the services.  (His watermark is on the photos, but he gives permission to use them as this is just a hobby for him at this point.)

This is not a good picture, but it gives you a visual.  Michael Franzese was our guest speaker.  He was a former mobster in the Colombo crime family who was in line to be the boss or underboss of the family.  His story has several twists and turns, but the bottom line is that he now travels as a motivational speaker who talks about how the Bible and Jesus changed his life.  It is truly a miracle that he is still alive today.  You can hear about his story at - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8QTbRg9Yv8&feature=youtu.be
He said that the makers of Soul Surfer are going to make a movie from his life story and that if it does not glorify God, he will not allow it to hit the screen.

We are so proud of Mason's gift that he shares for God's glory. Hopefully, we can hear him play LIVE when we come visit you later in the year, after we officially become "Texans"!!
