We had a very special night last night at the Permian High School Awards Banquet - a sit-down dinner at a local hotel. Luke was recognized 10 times for various achievements and received several cords to wear with his cap and gown. They also counted down the Top 10 and read their bios. Luke was last. After they finished his bio and the audience was clapping, Luke saw one of his friends stand up, and then that friend's mom, and soon the entire banquet hall was giving him a standing ovation. He was overwhelmed...and so were his parents. I have it on video...a moment he'll always remember.

Now I am so upset that we didn't come for one of these banquets! Cheri and Jo are so lucky to be there for this next one.
