Mal is playing soccer again this fall, but with a different team. This is much more serious soccer than she has ever played. We found it surprising that the first game was so rough that someone got a yellow card! We are enjoying the ramped-up level of play.
Last weekend we went to watch the Onstead and Park boys play flag football. We were there simply to support our friends........until Mal noticed that there was a girl on their team. She was quite interested in seeing if she could join. By the end of the game, Mal was announcing herself as their new teammate.
It is quite fun for her to be playing with these great friends. It is a bit reminiscent of when Mal, Chad, and Justin were on the Bumble Bee soccer team when they were 3 years old.
We really thought this was going to be a touchdown, but you can see that her flag was pulled just as she was about to be in the clear.

I would love to come to a soccer game this season- she is so good! I remember flag football in school- it was so fun!

That is so awesome that she just up and joined the flag football! I love the action shots of soccer, miss not being there.
