Mal Soccer / Kelly Birthday

Mal played in her first game of the season today. We really enjoy watching her play and are so glad the season has started. Her team won 1-0.

My birthday celebrating started when I received this extremely YUMMY surprise from the Reynolds. Oh my, was it tasty. Thanks so very much C, D, AM, A, and T.We went to dinner tonight to celebrate my 42nd birthday that is tomorrow. Tim knew I wanted to try out this new restaurant in Alvin. We hear about it all the time on the radio since it is a favorite of a local host we listen to.

The gumbo is one of their specialities. The waiter told us that the owner comes in before the chef and makes it himself. He won't give the recipe to anyone. Tim said it is the best gumbo he has ever had. It is different than most - it is more cream based and filled with chicken.
Mason decided to try out the fried alligator bites.
We all got the filet for our entree - very good. For anyone reading this who lives here, the restaurant is quite loud. It is small (it does not feel crowded at all - the tables are spread out - it is just small.) Probably only around 75 people can be in there at a time. We think the size and the low, flat ceiling made it so loud. It is a more pricey restaurant- but very good and perfect for a special occasion. It took us about 45 minutes to get there from our house.

It was the perfect birthday celebration.
