Day 8

Today we slept in a little, made breakfast tacos, then headed out to play disc golf. We went to a local college where we heard that there was a course. It was a really neat course, but it was not marked very well. Luckily (?), we had 4 teenagers who were drinking and smoking pot who were ahead of us and helped guide us. They even colorfully commented on some of our throws. Sounds odd, but they were helpful and we were grateful.

Not too often that we get to play with mountains in the background.
The KOA has some really pretty flowers that Mal took some pics of.
Sisters, doesn't the Iris picture bring back memories? Does anyone remember the chocolate one we had on Terracewood Circle?
Tonight we went to the Bar D Ranch for a Chuckwagon dinner and western show.

They put on a really good show. It was a mixture of cowboy songs, some comedy, some religious songs, and a few patriotic songs.

First thing tomorrow we head for Amarillo. It has been a wonderful trip, and we are sad for it to end.

I haven't played frisbee golf since college! Of course I did it sober :)! I totally remember the chocolate iris- that's a great memory! I am so happy that you all had such a fantastic time together enjoying Colorado!

I have never played frisbee golf, and yes, I remember the chocolate iris flowers! The kids and I have really enjoyed following your journal of your vacation in Colorado- what fun!!! Corbin and I have talked about taking our camper and doing the same thing, probably waiting until we (Lord willing) move to Texas- we'll be much closer to Colorado than from here =)
