Alaskan Cruise Part 3

This post will just cover the first half of Wednesday.  It was a busy day!!  We entered the Tracy Arm Fjord at 5:30am.  It was not necessary to be on deck then to see it since the ship goes in, turns around, and comes out.  We wanted the full experience, though, so we were up bright and early!  And yes, it was very cold!

The color of the water was beautiful.  There were many waterfalls in the fjord.

Thankfully Mason brought his polar bear hat....
This is the Sawyer Glacier - a main feature of the fjord.  I need to stop here and say that our weather was amazing the entire trip.  The forecast called for rain, but we had perfect weather everyday.  The ship was able to go further into the fjord than it has all season.

 Beautiful blue icebergs...
They say that you don't know how big the icebergs are because 90% is under the water.

This picture shows a little of the ship.  On this morning the screen displayed a view from a camera at the front of the ship.  During other times they showed movies.

The kids (and Kelly) went to another line dancing class.

And we watched the ice carving demonstration.
Next post - our Juneau excursions!
