Mason and I spent quite a bit of time at DPS today. We did everything we were supposed to do to make getting his driver's license on his birthday be a smooth experience. But......leave it to the wonderful DPS to throw a curve in the plans. When we got there we were told that the computers were down all over the state. The quote of the day was, "they could be back up in 10 minutes or in 4 hours." After about an hour we were told that Mason could take the driving test, but the paperwork could not be processed until the computers came back up. He did a great job and passed the test! The computers were not up, so we left so Mason could go to Chemistry. After class we headed back to DPS. The computers were up, but the crowd was awful. In fact, someone tried to talk us out of going in before we even got to the door. The lucky break of the day was that a employee recognized us from earlier and got us a number without us having to wait in line for it. After another hour we were finished.
I wasted no time in asking Mason to run to the store to get us some milk and bananas!
Jonathan came with us to Churrascos for dinner. (I didn't feel like I could ask the man at the next table to get out of our picture.)

I told Faith about Mason getting his license, and she can't wait for Mason to drive her! I just love the family pics, you all are so handsome!
